Risen Reflections
Bless a vet. It could be a gift certificate to a meal, a bag of groceries, or inviting a family over for a home-cooked meal, pray and ask God to show you how you can bless a vet. Some churches have military ministries. Ask them if they have ways that you can volunteer or if they have any upcoming projects. Often, they will put together care packages or have ongoing efforts serving the vets in the community.
Pray for our troops. Pray that God would guide and direct their footsteps. That He would give them wisdom as they need to make decisions. That God would protect them as they protect and serve us. Pray for those that are believers that they could be a witness and share their faith with others. Pray for those that do not know Christ, that their hearts would be open to the Gospel and that they would be open to a relationship with Christ. Pray for the families of those that are deployed, that God would provide support for them as their loved ones are away.
Have a movie night. Invite your small group, a group of friends or your gather a group from church and go see Bless the Broken Road. After the movie, grab coffee or a meal together and share what impacted you from the movie. If someone in the group has served in the military, ask them to share their testimony. It will help the group get to know one another better and give everyone a different perspective of those that serve our country.
