Director JJ Abrams on the Star Wars Ending and Including Carrie Fisher
The 10-year-old J.J. Abrams who loved watching Star Wars for the the first time, would never have believed that more than 40 years later he’d be the filmmaker to write and direct the ninth and final film to the Star Wars franchise, The Rise of Skywalker.

We sat down with Abrams to also talk about his inclusion of Carrie Fisher in the film through unused material they had shot prior to her unfortunate death. Hear how the script was written to make sure Lea was a part of the conclusion.
