Living a Life of Purpose with Jessica Honegger

Drive out fear. Whether it is the fear of being accepted, fear of getting fired, or fear of a loved one not being in heaven, the only want to get rid of our fear is through experiencing God’s perfect love. If you have a situation or relationship that is causing you to fear, pray and ask God to help give you His peace through the Holy Spirit. Ask Him for His perspective and truth on the situation. It can often be helpful to talk to a pastor or counselor, who can provide a fresh perspective on the situation.

Be obedient to God’s vision and calling. It might be starting a new company or ministry at church. It might be doing an outreach with your classmates or teammates. God has entrusted each of us with a set of gifts and talents that is unique. Take time this weekend to spend a couple hours reflecting on your calling. Pray and ask God to show you how He wants you to be using your gifts and talents. Don’t limit God. Even if it doesn’t seem like all of the resources or doors are open, trust that God will provide. Ask Him to show you what steps to take and connect you with people who can help make the vision come to life.

Live a life of purpose. There are 24 hours in a day, seven days in a week, and 52 weeks in a year. How will you use the time that God has entrusted you to impact His kingdom? It is good to relax, but sometimes our relaxation can become complacency or even laziness. Ask God to show you if you are being a good steward of your time. There might be an opportunity to mentor someone, serve in a ministry, or volunteer with an organization, but you have to be willing to get out from your computer and stop streaming shows.
