“Unplanned” Abby Johnson’s Story Told on Screen

Abby Johnson has always been fiercely determined to help women in need. This desire is what led Abby to a career with Planned Parenthood, our nation’s largest abortion provider, and caused her to flee the organization, becoming an outspoken advocate for the pro-life movement.

She spent eight years with Planned Parenthood and even became Employee of the Year before everything changed in September of 2009 when Johnson was asked to assist with an ultrasound-guided abortion. She watched in horror as a 13 week baby fought for, and ultimately lost, its life at the hand of the abortionist.

A new movie inspired by her story, titled Unplanned, hits theatres this Friday.

We sat down and talked with Johnson abut everything from her having two abortions, to her family with seven children now, and how lines blur so quickly from growing up in a Christian home to straying on a different course. Johnson wants to make sure women know “…there is a place in this movement for people who have gone done that road, who have had abortions, this is a safe place for them.”
